About Your Trip
Escape the everyday with a well-deserved DreamBreak and enjoy your DreamTrips™ Membership a different way — on your own, instead of in a group! Your DreamBreak does not include an In-destination Support team member so you can create your own adventures, your way.
Way up in the Eastern Highlands, you’ll find the small village of Troutbeck that captivates travelers with its untamed rolling hills, woodlands, valleys and rivers. Pack your bags and head to the charming Troutbeck Inn to savor the gorgeous landscape for a few days. Every time you step out of the resort, you’ll be greeted by nature at its finest — fish-stocked lakes, scenic outlooks, native wildlife, rippling rivers and fresh mountain air.
During this DreamBreak, your itinerary is entirely what you make it, and you can do as much — or as little — as you’d like. Your resort offers fun activities to keep everyone in the family busy — bowling, volleyball, trout fishing, swimming, squash, tennis, golf and much more! Beyond the resort, why not play a round of golf or go horseback riding? Or, you can bike on mountain trails or take advantage of the many lakes and rivers — perfect for fishing and pedal boating! Want to venture even further? Check out archaeological ruins like those at Chawomera Fort or head to World’s View or Eagle’s View for breathtaking vistas found nowhere else on this planet!
Whatever you choose to do, be sure to fuel up each morning with a delicious daily buffet breakfast — your DreamBreak also includes a complimentary dinner!
What we love:
• Troutbeck Inn’s kitchen staff will happily prepare any fish you catch in the well-stocked lake nearby. (Typical fishing season in the Eastern Highlands is from the beginning of November to the end of May.)
• Towering at 8,504 feet (2,592 meters), Mt. Nyangani is Zimbabwe’s highest mountain; plunging down 2,532 feet (772 meters), Mutarazi Falls is Africa’s second-longest waterfall.
• Although Nyanga National Park is not a wildlife park, it’s common to see free-roaming baboons, impalas and waterbucks.
